Before you start

1

Request a Custom Domain

Tell us which domain or subdomain you want to use.

Navigate to Settings → Custom Domain in your Carrier Portal. Enter the domain you'd like your employers to access (e.g., portal.yourcarrier.com).

Click "Request Domain" to start the provisioning process. You'll receive a TXT record to add to your DNS for verification.

Subdomain recommended. Use a subdomain like portal.yourcarrier.com rather than your root domain. This keeps your main website unaffected.
2

Verify Domain Ownership

Add a DNS TXT record to prove you own the domain.

Add the provided TXT record to your domain's DNS settings:

Type: TXT
Name: _audit1-verify.portal
Value: audit1-verify=abc123def456

DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours, but typically completes within minutes. The platform checks automatically and notifies you when verified.

After verification, you'll receive a CNAME record to point your domain to the Audit1 infrastructure. Add this to complete the setup:

Type: CNAME
Name: portal
Value: carrier-portal.audit1.com
3

Upload Your Branding

Add your logo, favicon, and brand identity.

From Settings → Branding, upload:

  • Logo — displayed in the navbar and login page (PNG or SVG, max 200KB)
  • Favicon — browser tab icon (SVG or ICO)
  • Page Title — what appears in the browser tab

Your logo automatically replaces the Audit1 branding across the entire employer portal — login, onboarding wizard, dashboard, and emails.

4

Customize Colors & Fonts

Match the portal to your brand's visual identity.

Set your brand colors:

  • Primary Color — buttons, links, and accent elements
  • Background — page background (light and dark mode variants auto-generated)

For fonts, you can:

  • Choose from Google Fonts — search and select any available font
  • Upload a custom font file (TTF, OTF, WOFF2) — stored securely and served via the platform's CDN
Dark mode works automatically. The platform generates dark mode variants from your brand colors. Employers can toggle between light and dark themes.
5

Preview and Go Live

Review your branded portal before publishing.

Click "Preview" to see how your branded portal looks across all pages — login, onboarding, dashboard, and settings.

When you're satisfied, click "Publish". Changes go live immediately. Your employers will see:

  • Your custom domain in the browser URL bar
  • Your logo and colors throughout the portal
  • Branded emails for invitations, renewals, and notifications
  • Your favicon in browser tabs and bookmarks
Fully white-labeled! Your employers interact with a portal that looks and feels like your own product. Updates to branding take effect instantly — no deploys required.
